Raised in Arizona, Dr. Carlson moved to Colorado to begin his Family Medicine training in 2003. He completed a fellowship in Sports Medicine in 2007 where he served as a team physician for the University of Colorado Buffaloes and the University of Denver Pioneers. He practiced rural medicine before beginning full-time outpatient primary care in Denver, where he has practiced since 2008.
Dr. Carlson enjoys the primary care setting as it allows for the establishment and development of individual and family relationships over time. When not working with patients, Dr. Carlson spends his time reading, cycling, cooking, skiing, and hiking with his wife and dog. He is a music collector and B-movie hobbyist.
